Timothy Clark is the president of Blair Construction and has been with the company since 1999. Tim is responsible for many aspects of the business, including new business development, existing client relationships, contract negotiations, personnel, scheduling, and bonding.
Tim is a board member of the Virginia Chamber of Commerce, the Virginia 4-H Foundation, and the Virginia Technical Institute; an advisory board member for American National Bank and Trust and the Olde Dominion Agricultural Foundation; and a Sunday School teacher and deacon at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church. He is a past chair of the West Piedmont Workforce Board and the Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce.
Growing up in a family that included two generations of commercial and residential carpenters and supervisors gave Tim a passionate foundation in the building and construction industry. After completing two bachelor of science degrees at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and a master’s at Kansas State University, he returned to his construction roots in 1999.
“Under the tutelage of Fred Blair, I have had the opportunity to increase my knowledge of construction as well as learn how the third generation family business has withstood the test of time through treating others as you want to be treated and doing what you say. We are a 100-year-old family-owned business that treats folks the way we want to be treated and follows through by doing what we say we’ll do.”
